ITIL services is the process of evaluating current processes against ITIL prescriptions to arrive at new processes and procedures that simultaneously incorporates ITIL best practices and the realities of an organization’s environment and requirements.
Most often, ITIL services are engaged as a means towards reducing operating expenses, making IT more flexible and nimble to lines of business, and/or reassuring Compliance and Risk Management staff that IT management practices can stand up to internal or external audits.
