Secures Naming Rights to Midwave Press Box until Spring 2012
Minneapolis, Minn. - Midwave today announced it has extended its partnership with KFAN Sports Radio, AM 1130, with a three-year agreement for exclusive naming rights to KFAN’s in-studio, live broadcast location, called the Midwave Press Box.
Midwave, an IT services firm dedicated to helping medium to large companies and government agencies tackle the most complex IT issues, hosts monthly Press Box broadcast events for its clients where they can watch “live” broadcasts and meet prominent radio guests including sports figures, both current and retired, authors and other influencers. KFAN is part of the Clear Channel network.
“The audience listening to KFAN mirrors a large segment of our target audience,” said Jim Leslie, Midwave’s CEO. “Due to this, it makes perfect sense to continue our alliance as part of our overall marketing strategy.”
As part of the Midwave Press Box naming rights partnership, Midwave is the new exclusive sponsor of KFAN’s Dan Barreiro podcast. The podcast, on average, tracks an impressive 800,000 downloads per month. Barreiro’s podcast is one of the top downloads on Clear Channel nationwide network.
Midwave also doubled its radio advertising schedule through March 2010. And, beginning last March, Midwave introduced the “Midwave Technology Minute,” a one-minute segment where a Midwave consultant answers a KFAN listener’s IT-related question. The “Midwave Technology Minute” airs every Monday at 5:05 p.m.
