Midwave Scholarship for Information Technology Excellence and Career Development Fall Semester Winners Announced
Minneapolis, Minn. - The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation has named 10 fall semester recipients for the Midwave Scholarship for Information Technology Excellence and Career Development. Midwave is a privately held Twin Cities-based IT consulting company that offers both IT advisory and integration services.
Criteria for the $1,000 award include declaration of a major or acceptance into a certificate program within the computer sciences/information technology field at one of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) in the metropolitan area, St. Cloud State University or St. Cloud Technical College. Recipients must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater and preference is given to students who are involved in their community, either through volunteer experiences, campus leadership or other activities; Minnesota residency; and financial need. These scholarships are awarded by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation through the Center for Strategic Information Technology and Security (CSITS).
"These scholarships provide educational opportunities to MNSCU students who intend to pursue a career in the high-tech industry in Minnesota," said Bruce Lindberg, executive director of the (CSITS). "Midwave scholarships are awarded annually for both spring and for fall semesters by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation through CSITS."
