Midwave Corporation has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Architect Consultant with advanced data center design experience in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
This individual will provide technical leadership within the organizatino as well as provide our clients expert technical design experience in data center physical and logical design aspects. Design experience must focus in areas of high availability, power/cooling concerns, physical data center layout, cabling, security, and disaster recovery. The architect must provide IT organizations with mature solutions around the concepts of standardization, consolidation, and virtualization.
Knowledge and skill required:
* Strong knowledge of data center design and operations
* Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, and/or Windows Virtualization and system design
* Strong knowledge of vendor system and software offerings
* Stong knowledge of and experience implementing availability software
* Strong knowledge of and experience implementing backup software
* Knowledge of storage solutions (SAN, NAS, hybrids) very desirable
* Ability to work closely with clients and professionally represent Midwave
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to speak credibly to customers to retain customers and garner respect of staff
* Excellent interpersonal skills
Senior Architect will also provide technical leadership to the group by:
* Providing formal and informal skills transfer to other consultants
* Assuming the architectural lead position in engagements that require more than one consultant
* Assist Midwave account executives in sizing and preparation of quotes and SOW for customer engagements
* Assisting the Practice Lead in assessing service offering strengths and recommended changes
