Microsoft Consultant

Our focus is in the infrastructure, but we have a broad practice that includes; Active Directory, Identity Management, Exchange, Virtualization, SharePoint, and Desktop deployment and management. Our practice is part of a larger organization that is proud to focus on our consulting services, and not just our product relationships.

 

One of our key differentiators from other consulting organizations is our ability to help organizations with Microsoft, Storage, Networking, Databases, Identity Management, and business consulting. Our consultants work with some of the key organizations with the Twin Cities to help them realize their goals. You will be challenged to create dynamic solutions by working in engagements during the sales cycle, and leading and building solutions.

 

Successful applicants will have:

 

  • Five to ten years of progressive IT experience with Microsoft technologies
  • Previous consulting experience preferred
  • Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification preferred
  • Four-year degree in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced experience with Systems Management Server and exposure to Systems Center Configuration Manager 2007.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL 2000 and 2005, including clustering
  • At least basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Broad background in general networking and security
  • General scripting knowledge and experience
  • Proven experience working in project teams or independently, and preferably technical leadership responsibilities
  • Ability to create architectural and detailed designs for Microsoft technologies and apply them to diverse business requirements
  • Experience building and completing test plans to validate and implement complex technologies
  • Ability to work during both business and non-business hours. We strive to minimize after-hours work, but often project dependencies require non-business hours for production cut-overs.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technical details to a non-technical audience
