Job Description

Linux Architecture Consultant
Midwave Corporation, a technical systems integration and consulting services organization, has an opportunity for experienced Linux architecture and technologies consultants. High priority will be given to candidates that have previous consulting experience Successful candidates will have proven experience in developing, implementing and supporting Linux solutions. This position will determine technical requirements, resource needs, and budgets to accomplish client engagement goals and objectives. They will also be responsible for communicating with clients and establishing project plans and schedules. Essential skills of the Consultants to be hired include, but are not limited to: Desired Technology skills General Linux Security Linux networking security Linux Clustering in a production environment Specific RedHat experience Specific RedHat upgrade experience Specific SUSE experience Specific UNIX to Linux Migration experience Linux Files haring (NFS, SAMBA, CIFS) Oracle Application Support Partitioning and replication System Automation and scripting Systems Management Server skill set SSH / SFTP DNS knowledge Technical Troubleshooting Performance Tuning General TCP/IP networking Backup and recovery skill set Required soft skills Solution Selling Time tracking Status Reporting Scope of Work preparation Client documentation preparation High energy Desired Certifications RedHat Linux RHCE / RHCT/ RHCSS/ RHCA Major UNIX Vendor Certifications (IBM, HP, Sun)
